A Support Page, Sortable Memory, and Clearer Admin Views

November 3, 2026 · InfraScout Team

This round adds a Support page and a sort control for Memory, and it makes several admin views clearer: Chat Audit lists the conversations behind its cost, cancelled updates read as cancelled, and MCP server cards show tools the AI cannot use.

A Support Page With Your Details Ready to Copy

When you contact support, the first questions are always the same: which tenant, which account, which role. Support, in the user menu and the mobile drawer, now answers them on one page. System Information lists your tenant name and ID, your account, role and app roles, when your sign-in expires and which API endpoint your portal uses, with a Copy button for all of it. Contact Support opens an email with those details already filled in, and Documentation links here. See Support page.

See How Old a Memory File Is

The AI's persistent memory grows over months, and older entries can quietly go out of date. Each file in Memory now shows when it was last updated, and a sort control switches between path, Recently updated first and Stalest first. Under the recency sorts, a folder ranks by its newest file, so a per-host folder nobody has touched sinks to the bottom, or rises to the top when you look for stale entries to review.

Chat Audit Lists the Conversations Behind the Cost

On Chat Audit, the Est. cost figure counts every message sent in the date range, but the list showed only conversations started in that range. A conversation started last week and resumed today added to today's cost while staying off today's list, so you could see spend with no conversations. The list now includes every conversation active in the range, not only the ones started in it.

Cancelled Updates No Longer Look Like Failures

Some queued updates target an agent version InfraScout no longer supports, typically an old Update now request for a host that has been offline for weeks. InfraScout cancels those instead of sending them. The agent card and the Updates board used to show them as red failures, pointing to an update history that was empty because nothing had been sent. They now read Update cancelled, in a neutral color, with a note saying nothing was sent to the host. They never counted toward your failure rate, and they still don't. See Cancelled updates.

Deleted Agents Stop Knocking

An agent you delete in the portal keeps running on its host until you uninstall it, and it used to retry its connection every few seconds, indefinitely. From agent 0.44.1 it checks back about once an hour and logs the refusal once. If you enroll a host again without deleting its old agent first, the new agent's log now says hostname already registered to another agent. Delete the old agent and the new one connects. See Agents (Admin).

MCP Tools That Were Silently Skipped

AI providers accept tool names of at most 64 characters, and InfraScout puts a registered MCP server's identifier in front of each of its tools. With a long identifier, some tools crossed that limit and were left out of every chat without any sign in the portal. The server's card now warns when that happens and names the tools. When InfraScout can see a server's tools while you register it, it refuses an identifier that is too long and tells you the longest one that fits, because the identifier cannot be changed later. See Keep the identifier short.

Two Microsoft Cloud Tool Fixes

Reading one Settings Catalog policy by id now returns its assignments. Before, it could return an empty list for a policy that was assigned. The intent list can still return an empty assignments list for an assigned security baseline, so the AI reads an intent's targets with the single-intent tool, which returns them correctly. See Intune tools.

The sign-in list returns interactive sign-ins only. Its description used to promise non-interactive ones as well, which led the AI to try a filter that fails. It now goes straight to the sign-in aggregate tool, which covers both. See mscloud_security_list_sign_ins.
