Claude Fable 5 Is Now Available for Assessments

You can now choose Claude Fable 5 when you configure an AI provider for InfraScout. Fable 5 is Anthropic's most capable model — a tier above Opus — and it sits at the top of the model picker as the most capable option you can run an assessment with.

A premium model for the hardest reviews

Fable 5 is built for complex, multi-step agentic work: long playbook runs and deep investigations where the conversation has to reason across agents, inventory, and cloud signals before reaching a finding. When the strongest reasoning genuinely pays off, this is the model to reach for.

It is a top-tier, premium option, so it is not the right fit for every conversation. For quick, cheap questions and routine checks, the existing models remain the better choice. Save Fable 5 for the assessments where careful, sustained reasoning makes the difference.

Fable 5 works with everything you already rely on in chat. Adaptive thinking, the live task budget, and long-run context compaction all apply, so a long investigation behaves the way you expect — just with more reasoning headroom behind it.

Selecting it is an admin choice

Fable 5 is added as an option only. The default model is unchanged, so nothing changes for your existing connections unless an admin selects it. To switch a connection over, an admin picks Fable 5 in the AI provider configuration where you manage your model connection. It is listed first as the most capable choice.
