The Insights Page Opens on Work You Still Have to Do ​

The Insights page listed every finding your assessments had ever produced, regardless of whether anyone had dealt with it. On a tenant with a few weeks of history that means the findings you resolved last month sit alongside the ones nobody has looked at, and triage starts with the work of filtering out finished work.

Three changes fix that.

Active by default ​

The page now lands filtered to Open, Acknowledged, and In Progress — the findings that still need something from you.

Resolved and dismissed findings are not hidden, just not in the way. Tick either status and they come back. The default is sticky as you navigate, and it is not counted as an active filter, because a default is not something you set. Clear returns you to this active view rather than to an unfiltered list, since an unfiltered list is almost never what triage wants.

One consequence had to be handled for the default to be usable at all. The status overview panel is both a display and a control: you read the counts and click a box to filter by it. If those counts respected the status filter like everything else, the default view would render Resolved: 0 in the very box you click to see resolved findings — which would read as "there are none" rather than "they are currently filtered out". Each facet's counts are therefore computed as though its own filter were not applied, while still respecting the others. The panel tells you what is there, not what is currently shown.

Filters that combine ​

The severity, category, and status filters are multi-select. Tick as many values as you need; the menu stays open while you work, and the trigger shows how many are active.

The interactive elements follow suit. Severity cards, status boxes, and category bars now toggle membership in the selection instead of replacing it — so critical-plus-high is two clicks rather than a trip to the dropdown, and clicking a selected card again removes it.

The dashboard has cards that link into Insights with a filter attached: the critical and high open findings, one category, one affected host. The link carried the filter in the URL and the landing page ignored it, applying its own default view instead. The card promised one thing and the page showed another.

The link is honored now. Arriving from a card gives you exactly the filter the card described, and any filters you had set previously are cleared first — a deep link is an explicit "show me exactly this", not a refinement of whatever state you happened to be in. Filters the link does not mention fall through to their normal defaults.

This was always broken; the active-status default simply made it obvious, because the mismatch between promise and result got large enough to notice.

Try it ​

Open Insights. It will look emptier than you are used to, which is the point — what remains is the queue. Then click a critical card and a category bar and watch them combine rather than replace each other.
