Send a Chat Answer to Email, Teams, or a Slide

September 27, 2026 · InfraScout Team

An assessment answer rarely stays in the chat. It goes to the colleague who owns the server, the Teams channel where the incident is running, or the slide for Thursday's review. Until now the only way out was Copy as Markdown, which works in a ticket and looks like raw syntax almost anywhere else. Answers can now leave InfraScout in the format that fits where they're going.

Share as email

Hover an answer and choose Share as email. InfraScout copies a formatted email of the answer and opens your mail app with the subject already filled in from the answer's first heading. Paste into the body and send. The body travels by clipboard because a mail link can only carry plain text.

The email is built for other people's mail clients: it is self-contained, with no remote images to block and nothing that needs InfraScout to display, and it carries the answer's headings, tables, code and numbered Sources footer.

Copy for Teams

Teams strips most formatting on paste, and anything built for email arrives as an empty grid. Copy for Teams copies the answer as the structure the Teams composer actually keeps: headings, lists, links, quotes, code and simple tables. Citation chips turn into [1]-style references that match the sources listed underneath.

Charts and diagrams copy as images

Every chart and diagram in a conversation now has a Copy as image button. It puts a PNG on your clipboard at twice screen resolution in your current theme, so the attack-path diagram or the sign-in trend chart pastes straight into a slide, an email or a Teams chat. On a sequence diagram taller than your screen the button stays pinned in view while you scroll. The zoom view has the same button, and it always copies the whole diagram at full size, however far you have zoomed in.

The email and Teams copies leave a short available in InfraScout note where a chart or diagram sat. Copy the visuals you want with their own button and paste them alongside the text.

Task Agent cards show what a run cost

A delegated Task Agent run used to report its size in tokens, and the numbers looked alarming: a routine eleven-step run could show over a million. That total is real but misleading. Every step re-reads the run's whole context, and most of it comes back from the provider's cache at a fraction of the normal price. The card now shows the run's estimated cost in dollars, where that million-token run comes to well under one. Hover the figure to see the tokens behind it.

Host-focused runs also got cheaper. A brief about a domain controller's event logs or a server's services used to be given the Entra and Defender tool groups as well, and no run ever called them. Those briefs now get only the agent tools they use, which makes each run's starting context noticeably smaller.
