Charts, Now in Chat

July 3, 2026 · InfraScout Team

When an assessment turns up numbers — CPU readings sampled over a minute, sign-in failures grouped by source, a cost breakdown across services — a wall of figures or a markdown table is rarely the clearest way to see what they mean. A trend is easier to read as a line than as a column of timestamps, and a lopsided share of a whole jumps out of a chart in a way it never does from a table. With this release, InfraScout can draw the picture for you: the AI renders an actual interactive chart, right in the conversation, instead of only describing the numbers.

Ask for a chart, get a chart

The AI builds the chart from data it has already gathered earlier in the same conversation — performance counter readings, sign-in aggregates, an inventory or cost breakdown, whatever the review turned up — and renders it inline in its response. There is nothing to configure and no chart mode to switch on. The AI picks the shape that fits the data and the question: a line or area chart for a trend over time, bars for comparing categories against each other, or a donut for showing how a whole breaks down.

In practice you just ask. "Graph CPU utilization over the last minute" comes back as a line whose shape you can actually read. "Show me a breakdown of sign-in failures by source IP" comes back as a chart that makes the worst offenders obvious at a glance, instead of a table you have to scan row by row. The data behind the chart is the same data the AI already collected during the review, so the picture and the finding stay in one place.

Charts live in the InfraScout portal

Charts render in the InfraScout portal's chat, where the conversation can show them inline. If you drive InfraScout from a different MCP client — Claude Desktop, or another AI tool connected over MCP — you get the same underlying data presented as a table instead. Nothing is lost either way: the chart is the part specific to the portal chat, and the numbers behind it are available wherever you run the assessment.

Try it

Open a conversation in the InfraScout portal, gather some numbers — sample a performance counter, aggregate recent sign-ins, pull a cost breakdown — and then ask InfraScout to graph them. The chart appears in the reply, built from what the AI just collected. If there's a view of your assessment data you'd like to see charted, tell us at info@infrascout.cloud.
