Portal Polish: Faster Charts, Keyboard-Friendly Menus, Sharper Session Records ​

No new capability this time — just a round of polish across the portal. The biggest win is in chat, where a conversation full of charts no longer drags, but there are useful fixes for keyboard users, admins reviewing sessions, and anyone maintaining shared playbook modules.

A conversation full of charts stays smooth ​

Since charts and diagrams arrived in chat, a long assessment conversation can easily accumulate a dozen of them. That exposed an unpleasant interaction: simply hovering the sidebar nudged the conversation's width, and every chart in the thread redrew itself in response — repeatedly, for the whole length of the hover animation.

The sidebar now floats over the conversation when you hover it instead of pushing it aside, so hovering costs nothing at all. Charts that genuinely do need to re-fit now do so once per frame rather than several times. Pinning the sidebar still widens the layout and shifts the conversation — that one is deliberate, and it happens once.

Every dropdown in the portal now responds to the keyboard. Escape closes an open menu, the arrow keys move through the options, and Enter or Space opens a menu from the trigger. Menus opened inside a dialog also no longer get clipped by the dialog's own scroll area — they float above it, so the options you need are always reachable.

One focus style, and a banner that gets out of the way ​

Text fields across the portal now pick up the same soft focus glow the chat composer has, in place of the plain default outline. It follows whichever theme you're using.

The banner that appears when a conversation has ended used to be a tall block that squeezed the conversation above it on smaller screens. It's now a single compact row with the same links.

Sessions from the iOS app are identified as such ​

The admin Browser Sessions view listed connections from the InfraScout iOS app as a generic "Browser" with a blank operating system, which made them indistinguishable from an unrecognized web browser. They now read as iOS App on iOS. While fixing that, we found two related misreadings: Chrome on Android was reported as Linux, and Safari on iPhone as macOS. Both are corrected, so the Browser Sessions view now reflects what people actually connected from.

Editing a shared module reaches the playbooks that include it ​

Editing a shared playbook module used to take effect in a playbook only the next time that playbook itself was saved. That's a real hazard: a workflow run started shortly after you corrected a module could still execute against the stale copy.

Long-running sync workflows have room to finish ​

Agentic Workflow runs in direct (sync) mode had an effective ceiling of around eight minutes and would fail on the deadline when a substantial assessment needed longer. The ceiling is now twenty minutes, so a broad workflow has room to run to completion instead of being cut off mid-assessment.
